Rarity with a Bristol is guaranteed, with only circa 1800 cars produced between 1947-2011, this example being the 603 is only 1 of fewer than 70 produced.
The owners of the Bristol came to us following ourselves carrying out a substantial amount of work on their other Bristol, a 411 the predecessor to the 603. The task was not only to produce a personalised car but to give their car an identity. Being that Bristol’s are very niche, it’s not often one is modified or restored in such a way the factory wouldn’t have done it.
This example living the majority of its life in Scotland, despite regular maintenance and use, did have some age-related corrosion to the aluminium coachwork.
Our team got to work and completely stripped the car of all its tired gold paintwork revealing the areas that need rectifying for our metal fabricators to attend to. Once the metal work was in good shape, it was decided to paint the 603 in popular Bristol colour Silver Grey Metallic. The personality of ‘Sindy’ would now begin, the complete body would be wrapped in pink making this 603 the only pink Bristol in the world. Further to the exterior restoration, the complete interior woodwork was restored and re-styled to the customers specification.
We are pleased to say the owners of Sindy are over the moon with how she turned out, as are we. Modifying a Bristol in such a way is very much going into the unknown along with how fastidious the owners club has been known to be, all of us including the owners were delighted when Sindy won “the car you’d like to take home award” at the 2024 Bristol Owners Club Concours d’Elegance. Sindy has accumulated quite the social media presence following the completion of our work.
